Best currency converter plugin for Squarespace (2022)
Having a currency conversion option is likely to boost sales so it’s a no brainer for international e-commerce. In this updating article I’ll take a look at how to convert currencies on Squarespace.

I’ve made over 20 plugins for Squarespace, but this one had too many bugs. Fix one bug and two bugs come up.
The formatting of prices is different for each currency and for each language. Some prices are $1,000, with a comma and symbol before, some say 3.000 € with a period (.) and currency symbol after. Our design was the best, but the complexity of different formats and the very high likelihood of Squarespace making updates that will break this, requiring constant complex updates forced me to focus on other projects.

We looked at all currency converters available, and made notes about what we liked and did not like. Perhaps we’re biased, but we truly believe this is the best Squarespace Currency Converter available today.

Multicurrencyalizer 3.0
Rating: 2/5
- Easy to install
- Cheap price of just $1 per month
- Design does not work as the buttons take too much space and overlap with site content
- No options show rounded prices well. You can have $26.54 or round up to $30, but no for example ~$27.
- Very hard to get support. No email or direct contact. They only have forums where you need to post. Many threads did not have any replies.

Couldn’t buy it.
sf.digital Currency Extension
Rating: 4/5 (?) Sf.Digital makes premium Squarespace extensions. In my experience they’re well designed and coded.
I didn’t buy this as it’s only for Squarespace 7.0 and I needed something for 7.1.
It seems really really good. Only minus is support for just one 7.0 template. I’ll probably rate it 5/5 once they’ll release 7.1 version which I’m looking forward to. It’s a little expensive, but I’d say worth the money.
